In the final podcast of the 2021-22 season, Andy Howard makes a stellar debut alongside Lyndon and Paul to discuss last Thursday's dramatic evening at Goodison Park as Everton secured their place in the top flight, ponder how the Blues got there and where they go next now that this miserable season is behind us. They also chat about pitch invasions and whether something should be done to prevent them.

Being unable to get to the games these days reading the articles and the match day forum really keep my interest in all things blue alive.
Cheers and have a great summer one and all.

In particular, hearing Lyndons emotions, after flying over from the States, attending the match, then going on the lash, were great.

Paul just nails the pitch invasion question / conundrum. The number of factors that really need to go into the spontaneous outpouring of joy from the seats to the field of play is overwhelming. Down 2-0 at half and survival on the line. Historic club making the final playoff to finally be promoted. Scoring 7 to stay up. Coming from down two to win the league, etc. It has to be a perfect storm.
Due to that, the league should do nothing. Pitch invasions under these circumstances are the celebration of humanity through sport. Don't ruin that.
if you want to change something, start doing a 180 to our current culture. If you see some idiot tearing up the pitch? Tell him to stop or make him stop. See someone giving Viera shit and showing zero class while representing your Club? Tell him to stop, tell him he's an embarrassment, or make him stop. Change this ridiculous societal momentum towards acceptance of completely unacceptable behavior. Stand up and just say, "Knock it off, you're an embarrassment." Shame the fools into the proper action.
Stop accepting unacceptable behavior on a micro level, and the world will get better, and these fools that ruin it for 99.9% of us decent folk will be happier and better off.
