The idea of a regular relationship with Tranmere makes sense. Young players going there on loan means they don't have the upheaval of finding a new home as well as new team mates.

It will make it easier for them to settle into their football and be easier for our coaches to keep an eye no them.

I think he's being harsh on himself. I've seen an all round midfielder in him from the few games I've watched, especialy his range of passsing. But I'd have to leave a more informed opinion to the likes of Brent.

Now get him closer to the first team. This boy has potential.

Mount, Gallagher, Garner etc have all developed this way. It is crucial that he goes somewhere he is going to get the all-important game time.

I would like to see Lampard arrange some youth team games and watch the players in order to give our good young players a chance of being in the first team squad.

Even when he did eventually get fit, did Salomon really offer any more than what the 'kids' would have done? The same argument could easily be applied to this lad over some of our midfielders.

Hopefully in the future we'll see more youth players given a fair crack, like Gordon. Granted, I know this was the worst possible season to take risks with youth given the distinct possibility of relegation.

Younger players will have had two thing these two don't have and that's pace and determination!

Keane, is really terrible too. I never want to see a spine of a team of Keane, Gomes and Rondon ever again! No wonder we were nearly relegated!

I'd prefer to see youngsters on low (comparative) wages making mistakes, than ‘experienced' idiots on a £100k a week making the same mistakes!

We must have some young midfielders that can put more than one pass together, because seriously, the first team have actually struggled to put simple passes together all season! They should be ashamed!

Warrington, Price, Onyango, Broadhead, Dobbin should be loaned out this season to good Scottish or Championship clubs and hopefully they progress well to be in contention for next season (23-24).

Simms should be given playing time this season alongside Calvert-Lewin or Richarlison, assuming one or both of them stay.

I think Everton developing a relationship with Tranmere is a fantastic idea. It will help our younger players develop, in a meaningful league, close to home and club making it much easier with a manageable transition.

It'll help Tranmere obtain quality young players that hopefully see them succeed.

Win-win, love this idea, actually somewhere in the annals like 10 years ago a naive Yank asked aloud why this wasn't "a thing" as it seemed to make so much sense to me.

Hopefully next season will be different and he can do with some of our players what he did with Mason Mount.

Last season at Tranmere will have done him no harm at all in terms of learning what the game is really all about.

A loan move to a Championship club is a sensible shout but, if he looks good enough for our first team now, why not be bold and give him a go? As others have said, pace, desire and being able to pass/control a ball already puts him ahead of most of our current first-team midfielders!

Keane's not world class. But he's not shit either. I don't see the gain in throwing shit at a player who's not even the topic of discussion.

Does that make up for the terribly poor defending and consistent mistakes all season, which put us in a position whereby we needed to beat Palace in such dramatic fashion?

As exciting as the comeback was, and as much as I'm relieved to not be relegated, I'm not prepared to go on celebrating survival like a cup win. Keane was a major contributor to us being in this position.

Man City paid £1.8 m for him in 2016. He can play in defence and (more imortantly) centre midfield.

Maybe City would let him go for a reasonable fee!

On a similar line, the Kiev player Tsyangkov may be available due to ongoing war. He's a high-quality left-footed right-winger who scores a lot of goals.
