Kenny linked with Burnley switch
The Liverpool Echo report that no talks have taken place between the two clubs but that the Lancashire club have registered their interest in a player who appears to be surplus to requirements in Carlo Ancelotti's squad.
Kenny's former club, Schalke, have also been credited with ongoing interest in taking him back to Germany, this time on a permanent basis.

On the web about transfer relative cost, Jonjo has gone down from £12M to just under £7M, mostly because he hasnt been getting much game time since he came back from Germany. I hope he stays with us but wish him well for the future and a long successful career in football.

looking at the other members of that squad, Lewis Cook, Maitland-Niles and maybe Kyle Walker-Peters have been regular performers and Dean Henderson who was reserve keeper. Others have also yet to establish themselves at the level they were playing at the time.
This is a normal progression of young players who develop at different rates. For every Wayne Rooney there are countless James Vaughans.

I do not normally comment on individual players but, Kevin and Martin, I am not as sure as you that Kenny has another gear. If he has, he has rarely shown it and my question would be Why?
I watch the Bundesliga Highlight's show, have done for about 10 years or so, he didn't show anything special at Schalke, but I agree he may well do well somewhere else.
I personally do not think we need him as a squad player with what we have at the club. My best wishes to him for the future.
But, more importantly, best wishes to you, Kevin and Martin in these difficult times, stay safe and well.

He done okay but nothing out of the ordinary. Good first half of the season, but that was in line with Schalke's overall season.
Saw him against Leipzig when I went over in February and he had a torrid time in a 5-1 defeat. Got a roasting off the central defenders for a couple of the goals as well; one in particular, he got schooled. In fairness, that was / is a very good Leipzig team (can I make my Marcel Sabitzer shout again??!).
Also, he was playing as a wingback rather than full-back in that particular match so got exposed a few times. Interestingly, the supporters there seemed to warm to him from what I saw and heard.
Great attitude and always works hard. Maybe that will endear him to Dyche. Whatever way this goes, I wish him well in his career.

At his age its time to go and see how far he can get with regular games.
We still have 2 right backs in Seamus and Holgate that look to be better equipped for now. We will need to bring in someone, either another lad through the youth structure or a signing. But it doesn't need to be in this window.
His departure, and I'm sure we will wish him all the best, frees up a space in the squad for a player we need. And probably, in case it's needed, a locker at Finch Farm.

I have watched Jonjoe when he was in Germany via various sources, and he did well but, I feel that he has not gone on to the next level. I know he hasn't had many chances to show it, but when he has, hasn't looked to be anything other than a good journeyman. Hypothetical I know, but if Farhad Moshiri had been with us when Wayne was emerging, I wonder if things would have turned out a lot differently, and he may have stayed with us... Hmm!

Best for all parties if he moves on - he seems like a decent lad and he has a few goals in him. He was part of the decimated back 4 that Unsworth was forced to cobble together for the few games he was in charge. The back 4 was:
Jonjoe Kenny, Ashley Williams, Mason Holgate, Cuco Martina
Those were grim days.

JJK would walk into the team there and Dyche is good defensively. Burnley play without the ball so everyone is back in numbers most of the time.
I can see JKK having a good career there.

Tosun to Beskitas is about to happen.
Bolasie done.
Bernard near done.
Lössl near done.
Surely we will someone come in?
