There seems to have been this view that as long as you get the ball first it's not a foul.
Personally I disagree. If the follow through is out of control and dangers the player, it's still a foul. Nasty contact on Vardy's leg as he scrambled to correct a mistake.

I guess it's an interesting area. Where is the line between after the ball and not?
I thought that was a dangerous tackle. Not a malicious one and the player wasn't deliberately trying to hurt or foul the player, but catches him, so for me, a foul.

There was non in this case, he won the ball fairly so therefore it shouldn't have even been a free kick. The art of the strong challenge is being eroded, we'll be watching netball soon crying out if there's any contact.

Talk of Hodgson leaving Palace and Tottenham currently seeking a manager. Who do they go for? I can't think of many available options.

Will only play half the season?
That is why I would take Aguero all day long.
If he plays half the games and trains all season with DCL, we get a good return.

Yes, Vestergaard creates the problem for himself with a loose touch which means he has to make the recovering tackle. But he gets good clean and clear contact on the ball which is still some distance from Vardy's own feet.
Any manager and his fellow players would be asking why he didn't make the challenge in that situation if he hadn't done so. Not exactly like-for-like with Balbuena's even more ridiculous sending off for WHU v Chelsea last week, but similar (wrong) interpretation that the tackle was wreckless and uncontrolled.
Balbuena had the red card rescinded mid-week. It wouldn't surprise me if Vestergaard's was similarly overturned, although the officials have the get-out-of-jail card on this one being central and applying the 'last man' rule, denying the Vardy a goal scoring opportunity.

Man City cantering to the title. Palace doing a Palace. Safe; cue switch off and go to sleep for the rest of the season.

No incentive though, think they're down. Local derby though, should get them interested at least.

We have a chance if we believe that we do.

Liverpool likely to be awarded the three points because of United fans behaviour, I hear from a very good sauce.
19 Posted 02/05/2021 at 17:43:03
Game's simply been postponed!
20 Posted 02/05/2021 at 17:43:42
That would be ridiculous awarding the RS points because of opposition fans protesting. On that basis a lot of teams should have been awarded a lot of games against the RS over the last 40 years

This kind of behaviour will now become the norm after what happened when Trump and his cronies did nothing before, during or after the Washington riot.
Peaceful protest is one thing but trespassing and threatening behaviour should be dealt with.
Many morons follow social media and believe everything they hear from professional agitators with one aim only and that is to rebel against democracy.

All for peaceful protest but that wasn't peaceful and put people's lives at risk.

We all know how difficult it is to get near the pitch. Very odd to me that hundreds were able to enter the ground and get on the pitch with relative freedom of movement.

Been shit on for too long.
Organized inter club demonstrations hopefully.

42 Posted 02/05/2021 at 19:45:12
I still can't see how demonstrations of any kind will help to take any club out of the owners' clutches unless of course, the owner wants to sell and who's to say that the buyers will be any better than the people they purchased it off?

It's not so much the fact that this ‘manager' has got it wrong for the 33rd game on the bounce, but more the fact we still can't win at their place after 25 years. Absolutely embarrassing and sums us up as a club #wwfc #NunoOut
