Ancelotti's backroom team confirmed

The names and roles of Everton's backroom team have now been confirmed:



Davide Ancelotti and Duncan Ferguson have been in position as joint Assistant Managers to Carlo Ancelotti.

Francesco Mauri is Head of Physical Conditioning, with Real Madrid among his former clubs.

Luca Guerra is Sports Scientist and Data Analyst; he has worked with Carlo Ancelotti at four other teams.

Simeone Montanaro is the Video Analyst; he has worked with six other leading European clubs.

Manuel Morabito is the Fitness Coach and has previously held roles at Reggiana and Napoli.

Mino Fulco is Recovery and Performance Specialist; he worked with Ancelotti at Real, Bayern Munich and Napoli.

Suppose you're right Jay, but that Cycling Proficiency Test was a tough one. And the 25 yards at Dovecot Baths nearly killed me. All for nothing.

No mention of partnering up with Sigurdsson in the three-legged race (slowed you down, did he?), Marco Silva for the sack race, or any fragile midfielder we've signed in the last few seasons in the egg-and-spoon race, I note Ray... no wonder your application was knocked back!

You've evoked some old memories there, Ray! As an 11 year old I had to all kinds of mad things at Dovecot Baths to get my personal survival award; jumping in the water from 5 metres in pyjamas that had to be tied by a cord at the waist and then making an air cushion out of the pyjama bottoms using the cord to tie it up before staying afloat for 10 minutes using only the cushion to do so.

Personally I thought I had already deserved the survival award just by making it from Speke to Dovecot and back in one piece. I doubt that any of Carlo's fitness gurus could do the water tests but I'd accept that an 11 year old Duncan would have have had no bother with any of the local ne'erdowells in Speke or Dovecot and all points in between.

I'm curious as to why it has taken 3 months to announce who these people are and what their job descriptions are.

Anyway, most of them are Championship level at best and none of them would get a job with a top-six club... Only at Everton, Eh? :)

EvertonTV is poor in broadcasting promised academy games, but increasingly they are producing high quality content videos. This is one such example.

The 'Behind the scenes' matchday videos are very slick productions these days.

Jay #9 Thanks for the Link, all Itallian line-up but strangely only Duncan seems as if he could be a fully paid up Mafia member. At least they picked a good day to release the video. See a few Atletico fans had an Everton flag at tonight's game.

I was joshing in my earlier post I wanted to see what it was like to be negative about Everton for the sake of it – I didn't like it.

They found it's true – and the team with the most favourable decisions at home was ... ???

They've all been there since not long after Ancelotti came. I think only Fulco didn't join straight away. The fact that Fulco is married to Carlo's daughter meant he was always coming, not sure what the delay was there.

Francesco Mauri is the main fitness guy and the son of Carlo's long term fitness coach, Giovanni Mauri. Giovanni retired after criticism at Bayern, and Francesco who had worked under Carlo and his father, was promoted to being main man at Napoli.

I don't think Davide Ancelotti and Duncan Ferguson are joint assistant managers. They are both assistant coaches. There is something lost in translation there.

I still think we lack a technical coach and hope that's addressed in the summer.

As Steve said, most of them been here a while. Didn't Carlo Ancelotti make a statement a couple of weeks ago about them needing to improve their English? From watching the video, there's a couple who might be a little hard to understand (not including Duncan), but most seem pretty fluent.
