Everton Under-23s' Premier League 2 clash with Chelsea in Southport has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The young Blues were due to host the Londoners at 2 pm on Saturday afternoon but officials deemed the surface unplayable after an inspection.

Chelsea FC will be made up with that if they had travelled over night.

Bearing many local league games got the knock on Friday night early in view of the foul weather system over the region, it makes you wonder...

At EFC, nothing is beyond reality, but in common sense, pragmatism, and at time first team level, it doesn't exist, in my view.

Upon on the Roof.

Everton lost at Blackburn this afternoon in a Lancashire Cup quarter final, losing 4-0 at one stage, they fought back to 4-3 with two goals from Rhys Hughes and one from Keiran Phillips but were unable to save the game.

Steve (#4),

Is there a special reason why Denise Barrett-Baxendale should deal with Franny Jeffers and his court appearance?

She's taken the lead on Everton becoming involved in Domestic Violence. If Everton are not seen to do anything here, then it makes us like hypocrites.

If she wants us to stand-by Franny, and I'm not saying we should not, then she can direct him to work with EITC and do some work with the victims of domestic abuse.

Everton playing at Southport tonight v PSV. Ellis Simms starts and interestingly Dobbin gets a place on the bench.

Everton U23's are playing PSV in the Premier International cup tonight at Southport with a strong line up, including Feeney, Gibson, Gordon and Simms kick off 7-00pm, don't know if the game is being streamed anywhere.

I think he came on near the end of a game a few weeks ago.

I think we posted about the game tonight round the same time, who do they say, think alike?

Thanks Brent, I'm not watching, getting reports off another thread, I presume you are at the game, keep your eye on Onyango, he had a hand in the goal, big tall lad, he's only sixteen, he hasn't been with the club all that long.

Brent do the honours keeping us abreast of the game, keep the battery well stoked.!!!

Nice one. I saw Gordon posted on Instagram last night about the virtue of being patient. I think so far the club are managing him quite well. Letting him play, coaching him up but not over hyping him. But I do hope he becomes a really good player
