Anyone go to this one?
Tom Cannon (9) looks like a good little player. He looks short, but stocky. The way he sold the defender and then slotted home was great.
The player who impressed me the most this season is Lewis Dobbin the left winger. Number 11 in this one. Lovely little turn and pass for Cannon's winner.
Dobbin was full of tricks down the left. He's very direct and loves to come inside and go for goal.
Those are the two to watch out for I think.

Both Dobbin and Cannon are only 16. The other highly rated player (according to the esteemed Dave Abrahams) is Bobby Carrol and he's only 17. This U18 side is actually very young. It's remarkable how well they are doing.

Tyler Onyango is another one worth a look, I've heard, Steve. Also 16. A tall, rangy midfielder whose got a few goals and assists so far from the middle of the park. Models himself on Viera apparently.

Yeah. He's only very young as well Sam. They've got the mini-derby next. We would go top if we won our game in hand, after Blackburn beat Man City. However, we've got the RS next. They've had some good results so far, only losing (like us) to City. They drew with wolves and we've got them soon. Wolves are in the mix too so it'll be a tough game. Let's hope these kids can keep ripping it up.

What has happened to McKenzie Hunt, still only seventeen, eligible to play for the u18's, awarded a three year contract last season, I haven't heard about him this season, is he injured or has he moved on?

No idea Dave. He has not made the bench, let alone the first XI. We are playing a side that's really an u16 side with a few 17 year olds and no 18 year olds. McKenzie is unlikely to be just dropped. He signed that 3 year deal just two months ago to much fanfare. The club also made a big deal of his superb goal. It must be injury, because he certainly has not moved on. Not even on loan.

Dave, I think the game is listed under Fixtures U23 on the website but not on the app for some reason.

Marcel Brands and Greta Steinsson, Everton's top European scout watched this game at Southport tonight. There's another bit of useless information for you, and I'd never heard of that scout either!!!
