Sheffield United sign Besic on loan
The Bosnia-Herzegovina international spent last season on loan in the Championship with Middlesbrough after recovering from a long-term injury.
He made 52 appearances for Boro but was ultimately not retained on a permanent basis, returning instead to Everton this summer.
Besic was not considered to be part of Marco Silva's first-team plans this season and he attracted attention from Sheffield and Fulham, who are bidding to return to the Premier League this season following their relegation in May.
Sheffield United won the race to sign Besic for the season which will be his penultimate as a contracted Everton player. Originally acquired by Roberto Martinez in 2014 after impressing at the World Cup in Brazil, he signed a two-year extension to his contract at Goodison Park two years ago.
