Pennington joins Hull on loan
Alan Myers of Sky Sports News tweeted yesterday that the 24-year-old was on his way to the Yorkshire club, his latest in a string of loan assignments in recent years.
Pennington, a product of Everton's Finch Farm youth academy, had loan spells at neighbouring Tranmere Rovers, Coventry City and Walsall before returning to the Blues at a time when he looked primed to break into the first team.
He was used at senior level by Roberto Martinez and scored a goal in a Merseyside derby but he wasn't able to hold down a regular place in the side.
Temporary spells at Leeds United and Ipswich Town followed after he signed new terms that extended his contract to 2021 but, with a first-team berth still looking unlikely, he has returned to the Championship with Hull City for the 2019-20 season.

So this is a Hull of an opportunity to show his wares to potential buyers.
