The European Championships could be postponed by a year if Uefa feel it will be necessary as a consequence of the coronavirus outbreak.
European football's governing body are meeting today will meet via videoconference on Tuesday in an emergency session to discuss their response to the pandemic in terms of both this summer's Euro 2020 tournament but Europe's domestic leagues as well.
Uefa will consider postponing the championships by a year while also discussing with representatives from the member countries their individual measures which has seen La Liga become the latest competition to be suspended.
Italy, Denmark and the Netherlands have followed Italy's lead in pausing their seasons. At the moment, the English Premier League is scheduled to continue as normal while the Government considers whether or not to restrict sporting events.
It is not clear whether Uefa's concerns are chiefly around the impact of the virus itself on Euro 2020 or whether the would agree to move it to 2021 to enable the domestic leagues to be played to their conclusion into the summer.

But common sense and pragmatism, are often not what we each expect.
Let's see what the government tells us, but it seems this weekend, is the start of the shit down of big events, but surely it should be for all sports at all levels, but there's been marathons and rugby matches this weekend.
Mixed messages? It raises genuine questions and concerns.
