The 44-year-old steered Sevilla to a 3-1 win over Liverpool last week but was beaten 2-0 in the final of the Copa del Rey by Barcelona reports emerged in the British press that Everton were to hold talks with him about replacing Roberto Martinez "within 72 hours".
That report in The Telegraph doesn't seem likely to be proved correct unless he has a significant change of heart, with the Liverpool Echo passing on a quote attributed to Emery to the Spanish media in which he said: "I'm very good at Sevilla."
The Spanish club's sporting director, Monchi, has also weighed in on the speculation surrounding Emery by telling Calciomercato.com, “He has renewed with Sevilla, even before the Europa League Final.”
“What if Milan were to pay a release clause? He will not go to Milan. He will definitely stay at Sevilla.”
Emery is also apparently on record before last week's Europa League final as saying he would stay at Sevilla for as long as they wanted him but media speculation linking him with Everton has continued regardless.
