Royle in the frame for director of football role

18/05/2016  0 Comment  [Jump to last]
Joe Royle could move "upstairs" to a Director of Football position above Everton's new manager according to a report.

The Daily Star claim the club want to offer the 67-year-old a more formal role as the link between the new team manager and the board but admit much will depend on who is appointed as Roberto Martinez's successor.

There have been reports in recent days since Martinez's dismissal that the Board could opt for a director of football model for the first time.

Royle, last Blues boss to win a trophy at the club, is currently head of the Everton's Finch Farm academy.
