Martinez in the frame for two La Liga posts

12/05/2016  0 Comment  [Jump to last]
Roberto Martinez has been sounded out by two clubs in Spain about a possible managerial role should he leave his post at Everton this month.

That's the claim made by The Mirror who suggest that Valencia have him on a shortlist of candidates to permanently succeed Gary Neville who was sacked as their boss earlier this year.

The other Spanish club isn't named but the report says that Martinez's representatives are keeping his options open.

The Catalan is widely expected to be dismissed by Everton after a run of just one win in 10 games in all competitions, culminating in successive away defeats where his Everton team conceded six times.

Meanwhile, the announcement of Frank de Boer's departure from Ajax this week is bound to fuel speculation that he could be lined up as replacement for Martinez should he get the bullet from Goodison.
