Tarashaj named in provisional Swiss squad

The 21-year-old will join up with his new team-mates on a full-time basis when the pre-season programme kicks off this summer after spending the last few months on loan at Grasshopper Zurich from where Roberto Martinez signed him in January.
Before then, however, Tarshaj hopes to be on the bus to France with the senior Swiss national team after impressing for their U21s over the past season.

Sounds like he continues to make good progress and it will be interesting to see how he will fit into the new regime when he comes to us for the start of next season.

Let's hope whoever comes in as manager gives him and our other younger players a chance to prove themselves, coyb.

There is no right age to start being selected for an international side. Different players develop at different rates. Why don't we wait until we see him in action in the Premier League before we judge him?

Before Everton goals ratios.
Bakayoko (Mont/France) 25 in 76
Radzinski (And/Belguim) 52 in 77
Niasse (Lok/ Russia) 12 in 28
Swiss midget (Gra/Switzerland) 12 in 53.
Rubbish signing

It might also be the last time I have any interest in watching Lukaku and Stones play. We need a manager in place before this tournament starts.
I wonder if Lukaku might score a goal go he can boast how ready he is for the Champions League.

As for Tarashaj, I know nothing about him. But I hear that he is very good. So let's get behind the kid and give him a chance.

I'm sorry but you're giving the Swiss national team a great disservice. They're not far behind the England national team these days. How old would Tarahaj have to be for you to be impressed before ever seeing him play..Straight out of short trousers and a full international?!
Give the kid a chance. We weren't the only team that were in for him. He was one of the most highly coveted young players in the Swiss league. I can't remember the sides from the Italian and Spanish leagues that wanted him, but they weren't at the level of Verona and Getafe.

Everton fans used to be known as well informed and intelligent about the game. No-one looking at the level of gutter criticism of certain players could possibly think that.
