Everton's U18s pulled off an impressive comeback against West Ham at Finch Farm this morning, winning 4-3 thanks to Shane Lavery's strike.

The Young Blues needed a win to remain in the hunt for the U18 Premier League title but were 2-0 behind with just 21 minutes gone to goals by Daniel Kemp and Anthony Scully for the visitors.

Lavery halved the deficit, however, 10 minutes later and Nathan Broadhead scored on the stroke to half time to tie the game.

A Broadhead penalty early in the second period had Kevin Sheedy's 3-2 up but Callum Lees put through his own goal to make it 3-3 after 65 minutes.

Lavery came up trumps with the winner, however, completing the scoring in an entertaining encounter at Halewood..

Everton U18s: O'Loughlin, Yates, Harrington, Denny, Lees, Yarney, Morris, Kiersey {c}, Lavery, Holland, Broadhead.

Subs: Johnson, Myers, Mellen, Virtanen, Mampala.

Strange - the U18 team show how to come back from being behind whereas the first team have been showing all season how to throw leads away!
If only it were the other way round eh?
