Really?
He's being removed from his post?
Or is that just more of the kind of wishful-thinking passing as news/fact that has filled recent TW threads.
"I now want him gone now" became "Fuck off Martinez!!" which became "He's gone now surely!" and ended up "Who do you want next?" etc etc.
Meanwhile, the only post I've read that sounded like someone knew something (I know, doesn't mean it was fact!) was yesterday, with someone claiming they'd spoke to a players dad (?) after the game on Sat and he said Martinez was going nowhere even if we lost the cup.
By the way, if we win the cup, my belief is there's no way he'll be sacked.

After a record period of transfer spending, Martinez will deliver back-to-back bottom half finishes for the first time in 14 years. Arguably our best Premier League squad is massively underachieving, and the players know it, we fans know it, and the media is increasingly highlighting it.
The comments of Baines and Barry, and Lukaku's desire to leave suggest an intensification of internal dissatisfaction with Martinez, the like of which was also suggested by last season's team meetings about tactics.
Kenwright might not be the boldest of Chairmen, and we do not know what Moshiri will bring yet, but both will want progression, because progression is money. Moyes wasn't sacked because Moyes never had the money Martinez did, and brought out an obvious improvement on season's of bottom-half finishes. Martinez is doing what Moyes did in reverse He is taking a top seven team and turning them into a bottom half team.
Managers do not stay in Premier League jobs when they regress a team without reason, and only pessimism should lead us to think Martinez will keep a job after two seasons of failure. I think Martinez knows it too, and his increasingly desperate comments will not endear him to us, the players, the fan base or the owners.
I just hope I'm right.
Also, give the job to a manager who can adapt. I'd love Eddie Howe to take over personally.

They don't work hard enough to close down and tackle where it matters when they are not in possession. However, as we all know, players are not to go public with their feelings even if they are correct.

An American friend of mine just sent me a message having just watched the Watford game and his words were "Everton looked like they were rehearsing for playing in the Championship."
That's exactly where we're headed if Martinez is allowed to continue destroying our club. I hate to say it, but if our board can not be professional enough to do the right thing in the interests of the club, then after 57 years of supporting this great club, I for one will not be watching another game as long as Martinez is manager.
I'd rather lend my support to a team whose management wants the best for their club. I'll be off to Southport then.

When all is said and done, comparing David Moyes with Roberto Martinez is pointless now. Moyes lifted the initial gloom at this dying club in 2002 and gave us some pride and passion back. Sadly Moyes then became a glass ceiling manager.
Martinez however, you feel will never even reach that glass ceiling again in a bid to break it.
Moyes and Martinez.. Both managers with limitations, just that Moyes had more strengths and fewer weaknesses than Martinez.

I'm just waiting for some of the others to question Martinez in the public domain.
