Howard plays as US fall to Guatemala

The 36-year-old was handed a start for the first time since his last Everton appearance two months ago but his goal was breached twice in the early going.
An unfortunate bounce off Mix Diskerud caught Howard off guard following a corner and bounced into the corner of the US goal after six minutes.
The Americans' defence was then caught napping by Carlos Ruiz who raced away from a goal kick to slot past Howard and make it 2-0 which it remained until half time.
The US pressed for a way back into the game in the second half but couldn't find a way past Paulo Motta in the Guatemala goal.

Klinsmann told the press, when questioned about players' anticipated positions earlier in the week, that, while he understands their club managers play them in certain places, he thinks they should play other spots. If he used the term "phenomenal", I would swear I was suffering from déjà vu.

This international break is bullshit. I'd rather be hating being an Everton fan than hating being an America fan.
