The 25-year-old became Everton's third-most expensive acquisition in history when he arrived from Lokomotiv Moscow before Monday's transfer deadline and now he is itching to make his debut, which could come at Stoke this weekend if his paperwork is completed in time.
Roberto Martinez indicated that after several weeks out of action following the conclusion of the Russian league, the Senegal international isn't currently fit enough to play 90 minutes but he has been in full training this week now and he says he'll up his regimen if needed.
"I started training this week," Niasse said at Goodison Park on Wednesday evening where he watched the Blues beat Newcastle 3-0 after he did a lap around the centre circle by of introduction to the Everton faithful.
"I'm excited. I'm thinking it won't take more than two weeks. Maybe this week I will be fit because I really want to start and I'm not letting myself rest.
"If I have to train three times a day I will train like that to be on the pitch as much as I can."
Strong, pacey and with a terrific shot, Martinez clearly feels that Niasse has all the attributes to be successful in his Everton side. The player himself is also looking to proving himself in the Premier League and he agrees that he is suited to the English game.
"It's more physical but it's also more open because you can find a lot of space and, honestly, I like space.
"So, I think maybe it's going to difficult in the first few games but once I'm out of that I think I'm going to be good."

Hard work from the front is key. I would stick with Lennon. Delboy always a great impact sub.

Keep Lukaku out unless he is 100%. Kone could do a half decent job as Stoke will be without Shawcross.

Have to say I'm struggling to get that excited about the stoke game. Really could do with this sale getting over the line so the club can really move forward. This season's pretty much over as far as the league is concerned. Only money for final placing to play for. Difficult to get excited about 10th......(my prediction).
Yes there are 14 games left but we're not going to make up the gap to 6th or 7th, (a really phenomenal upturn in form would be needed). Before anyone starts I'll just mention two facts;
1) Newcastle is the only club we have beaten in the league since November (yep, that's true).
2) We have not beaten a single club outside the bottom three since September (West Brom), also sadly true. At least we still have Villa and Sunderland to play again.
I can only hope but will be amazed if we leave the Brittania with three points this weekend.

It won't take long to bridge that gap if we can string some results together.

It's only Newcastle's terrible all-over-the place players that looked like there was space.

I just noticed on Sky Mr Stones is not in the squad, I said on the Live Forum he looks like he needs a rest mentally more than physically.
I think it will do him good in the long run, sometimes you need to press the reset button.

When he adapts to the Premier League, I think he will have the attributes to cause havoc in the opposing half. He could be a very exciting addition, and I love the fact there is so much pace in the side now.

Imagine this fella up front with Ross and Lennon around him.
COME on you Blues!

No improvement this season especially with no Euro commitments and better squad. Although, I'm excited about this new lad for next season and what new manager we might / should get.

Denis I'm with you, I felt our season was over in November as I couldn't see any improvement. A couple of wins against shit teams and some start dreaming again.
I have a feeling it will be business as usual against Stoke. Always happy to be proved wrong.

Sorry to be miserable but come on, Champs League has gone, Europa has gone and the Carling cup is over too.
Will have to use the remainder of the season to build confidence, plug up a leaky defence and hope Rob can gain a bit of tactical knowledge with the upcoming games and go again next year.

Just a shame we can't defend yet.

Were at home the onus is on us to make the running and we seem to struggle doing that.
