Oviedo injury not serious

The Costa Rican defender was stretchered off the field with 20 minutes to go of the controversial 3-3 draw but appeared to signal to his manager that he had not been badly injured.
That was backed up by Martinez after the game when he said that the club's medical staff expected him to be okay.
Oviedo has battled a series of injuries since breaking his leg in an FA Cup tie at Stevenage two years ago and the sight of him leaving the field on a stretcher brought back memories of that horrific injury but Martinez assuaged fears, saying:
“Oviedo should be okay. We will asses him over the next 24 hours. It was more a knock that anything else. We expect him to be okay.”

Good to see Mirallas get on the score sheet and have a few good shots.

Not that "kind" of break though!

Why the hell did Martinez break up a defence that had just kept a clean sheet at the Premier League's top scorers anyway? Seems to me he just wants to do favours for players to keep the squad happy.

I can only assume if Leighton or Jags had been injured similarly, you would have used exactly the same sentiment. We were robbed by poor officiating decisions, and our inherent inability to close a game out.

Oviedo is a good player who has shown his commitment for our club by getting stuck in unlike some other players.
"Had he not been on the pitch there wouldn't have been 7 minutes injury time" how do you know???
Don't blame Oviedo; the blame lies firmly with the team and the manager for once again being unable to hold on to a lead. Excuse after excuse after excuse; until somebody steps up and takes control of our defending, this is going to happen again and again.

Considering how long he has been away from first team action, I thought Oviedo was handling the situation well before his injury. Thankful for him it's nothing too serious.
