Swansea boss confirms interest in Naismith

Having been handed the reins at the Liberty Stadium until the end of the season following Gary Monk's dismissal, Curtis is looking at potential new recruits as he looks to steer the Swans away from relegation danger.
While he deems an out-and-out striker to challenge Bafetimbi Gomis and Eder as a more pressing need, he is an admirer of Naismith and has money to spend following the sale of midfielder Jonjo Shelvey to Newcastle United this week.
"I think he's on a list [of targets]," Curtis said. "I know he's a player available – he's an excellent player.
"Like all good players, if we can afford to bring him in, then we will be interested.
"We're still looking for that main striker. Steve is probably someone who plays just behind the main striker but someone we will be interested in."
Naismith was the subject of an £8m offer from Norwich last August, a bid that was apparently accepted before Roberto Martinez blocked the move on transfer deadline day citing the former Rangers man's importance to the squad at the time.
In the interim, Aston Villa, Sunderland and Newcastle have also been credited with interest in a player who has five goals in 16 appearances so far this season but just four Premier League starts to his name thus far.

He can certainly match Kone. If we let him go he will shine at another club.... meanwhile that sack of coal sat stationary on the pitch gets picked every week!!!

Send him off somewhere where he can play as a second striker.

He always strikes me as a poor man's Suarez or Costa, he's not the kind of player you would want to play against when he's right up for it.
