God moves in mysterious ways......I have followed this team for nearly 50 years and not been to see them nearly enough. Currently holed up in a hotel 100 miles from home as my wife had to go into hospital just before Christmas. I can see a football ground from my hotel room. The hospital is right next to the football ground (how do they get away with that?).......St James Park.....

Thanks to Michael and Lyndon as always.
We lost some iconic blue brothers this year, Andy King, Phillip Carter and of course Howard Kendall..
Got a feeling next year will be special for us though..

To all the posters , the ones who've made me euphoric, sad, happy, despondent ,hopeful, curious, enraged, soothed and frustrated .
To the gudd and bad spelerz, the narks, the critics and the nit pickers.
I've enjoyed it all --most of the time, it's a bit like S&M.
Thank you all and carry on in the coming year.
I've often thought that following Everton is a bit like that expression about a journey "Sometimes it's better to travel than arrive "
46 Posted 25/12/2015 at 13:23:10
Great to see the vast disparity of opinion, always interesting.
Hopefully we all have a lot more better things to comment on from now on.

Bill Kenwright I wish you well whatever the problem is.

Special wishes to Michael, Lyndon, Ken, Paul and all who make this site the number one in the world.
All we need now is new owners and management to make the club number one in the world but for now I will settle for 3 points at Newcastle.
Cheers from Florida.

Dominated possession during the exchange of pressies, passing parcels safely from side to side (relying mainly on my right hand, it has to be said).
Dropped one, but showed great maturity and a fantastic understanding of the festive spirit to shrug off such an immense setback and display my intent to enjoy the key Christmas moments.
Still went home empty handed though, as I naively left the back door wide open and some ruthless, opportunistic, scrote bastard nipped in and robbed everything at the last second.
All the best for the festive season (and special thanks to Michael and Lyndon......for not banning me years ago).
62 Posted 25/12/2015 at 16:57:15
Its been a sad season so far. The few highs have been drowned out by the lows of inconsistency and awful defending. It reached a peak after the Leicester game with me to be honest and I thought of stopping to watch for a while...after 29 years of following Everton. It made me sad that the players and manager don't take the games as seriously as us fans do. I work long hours and the few things I have to look forward to are my family and football. It really hurts when we lose/draw without showing any fighting spirit. I hated the defeatist attitude under Moyes but this lack of respect for defense is dangerous. Posession doesnt win us games....get that into your head,Roberto.Goals for us and none against us, does win us games. Hope we can get McCarthy back to shore up the midfield. Cleverly doesnt do a good enough job defensively. Jags is badly needed at the back and so is a keeper who can keep goals out! Mirallas needs a run in the team, as does Naismith. Hope the run of festive fixtures is kind to us for once...COYB

The Toffee was sat in his cell
"Put out yer puddin for Christmas"
He heard the warder yell
"If yer want treacle on yer puddin
Put it out without delay..."
So the Toffee put out his puddin
And the warder took it away
'Twas ever thus
Sweetheart! get me coat, please
All best wishes to Blues everywhere

If, for just one second, I could sincerely believe that the future of Everton FC was as bright as the debate here on ToffeeWeb then I would be a VERY chuffed Toffee indeed.
Thanks to all contributors, whether we agree, disagree, amuse, inform , take the piss, or simply make each other think, because We were blessed by the Holy Trinity when we were Born A Blue !
(I will continue to plug this magnificent tribute to our club by the Great Evertonian, founder of "The La's" and Rockabilly Legend that is, Mike Badger)
Merry Xmas Evertonians !

Best wishes and thank you for the time and effort you out in to providing us with one of the best forums in football for debating our beloved blues and football in general.
Regardless of our viewpoint and opinion, best wishes to all fellow blues out there. Ultimately we all want the same thing, we just have differing views on how that will be realised.....as long as it is, who cares who was right?!!

Addictive website, great job by the dudes. Despite the Everton players and managers seemingly intent on making me stop caring about this club, as long as TW is here I will be on it following these damned Blues!
Now beat Newcastle...

It can only be better than last December and New Year - so onwards and upwards etc.
If they want it badly enough, this season is there for the taking.
Festive goodwill to all (except Kopites and whoever we are playing)
