Injured Stones released from England camp

The 21-year-old was called up by Roy Hodgson for England's forthcoming Euro2016 qualifiers and reported for duty at St George's Park but has been now been sent back to Everton.
Stones was given every opportunity to prove his fitness ahead of Sunday's Merseyside derby but, like team-mate Seamus Coleman, the defender didn't make it after apparently feeling pain in the knee during training on Friday or Saturday.
He was substituted early in the second half of the Capital One Cup tie at Reading and missed the matches against West Bromwich Albion and Liverpool.
Coleman, meanwhile, is not expected to feature for the Republic of Ireland over the next fortnight either. He is dealing with a hamstring problem picked up in the win over Chelsea last month and sat out of Ireland's training session today.

If he keeps playing like he has, and Gary Cahill continues his Chelsea nightmare, Stones will be picked for the Euros, and he'll likely play. The way Jags is playing, they might play together. Shoot, the way Galloway is playing, and with injuries, he might play too!

Hardly good news for us though if he is (still) in pain from a knee injury.

Smalling at Man Utd has improved a lot in the last 12 months, but Jagielka should definitely be in the mix. With everyone available for England, Stones has to be first choice. He's got it all.

I've been wrong plenty of times before, let's hope I am again.

He said the same thing about Coleman but was wrong again, I think Martinez should be more honest with the fans instead of building our hopes up for a quick return with his 'positive' comments. Next thing we know, both players may need surgery.

Maybe Galloway will now get a call up, you never know.

'Surely he has to be 120%?'
Still too risky for my liking. I want him a full 200% fit before he takes to the field. Then, by my reckoning, he could get 100% injured and still be COMPLETELY fit.
