Everton Under-18s made it two wins from two as they ran out 4-2 winners at Sunderland.

Having beaten Manchester United last time out, the young Blues had to be patient in their quest for goals in the northeast.

But Nathan Broadhead curled a fine free-kick into the top corner to open the scoring.

Substitute Delial Brewster marked his return from injury with a goal, before Nathan Holland and Broadhead once again put the Blues out of sight.

But the Black Cats refused to buckle, and in the final 10 minutes, pulled back a pair of goals to take the gloss off the performance.

Delial Brewster is a name that popped up quite a bit early on last season, may be one to keep an eye on as he seemed to have come from nowhere.

Yes Anthony, Delial is a big powerful Southport lad who says his main assets are pace and scoring goals.

Here since the age of 12, he is on a new 2yr contract but seems to be behind Kenny, Ledson, Dowell, Evans and one or two other youngsters. Let's hope he continues to progress.

Seems like our U18 teams do well but then that our U21 teams struggle a bit. Lots of foreign youth coming into other teams academies at 18+ and pushing them further?
