Everton's Under-21s will participate in the second year of the tournament and have been grouped with Schalke, Porto and Tottenham.

David Unsworth's participation in the International Cup will begin on 31st August when they play Tottenham. The remaining two group fixtures will be announced in due course depending on other scheduling considerations.

Everton will play all three of their group games at Goodison Park.

The Blues' second string took part in the inaugural year of the competition season and made it to the knockout stages before losing to Leicester City U21s on penalties.

I always try to get to these games, but August 31st is a Bank Holiday, also my birthday, so I will have to give that one a miss. Good luck to the lads in this competition.

Good luck to the lads. I think this is a good thing to be involved in as it will give the youngsters experience of playing against the decent foreign teams and players. It should stand them in good stead if they make it into the first team.

It will be interesting to see who we actually field in these fixtures, some of our better u21 players have to go out on loan to gain pro first team match experience plus others will be needed as first team squad members.
Browning, Galloway, Henen Ledson and Mcaleny are a few of the main ones I'd expect to be under the above brackets plus will many more young lads signing pro deals this pre season I'm sure answer must be in place for them too.

Will be interesting to see who else comes along whist playing these fixtures
