Sunderland reject Johnson loan proposal
In what feels very much like the media weaving their own narrative on a news story they themselves started, reports claim that Sunderland have knocked back an approach from Everton to loan Adam Johnson next season.Roberto Martinez was supposedly looking to take Johnson off Sunderland's hands to ease their wage bill but wasn't interested in signing the player permanently.
That has paved the way for the winger to join Liverpool with whom he was heavily linked before he joined the Black Cats.

It makes me wonder who writes these tales of fantasy.
Sunderland were never going to let one of their best players leave on loan its basic common sense.

Then it quotes RM saying we should sign players LIKE Xavi. Duh!!! I have an idea, shouldn't we sign players LIKE messi, or RVP or ribery. Just amazing reporting! Can we get that writer a Pulitzer
