Everton have been linked with Feyenoord defender De Vrij before and Sky Sports believe that Martinez is also interested in Lens, a striker who joined Dynamo Kiev last year.
Martinez believes that the Dutch, who now fly to Salvador ahead of their tournament opener, should be regarded as dark horses for the World Cup

But I think he'll just be there to watch over how Van Gaal works and things. It's not uncommon for managers to go and watch over other clubs and how their managers/coaches work.
But back to the players: De Vrij is a good CB but right-footed and we're covered for right-sided CBs. We've have been linked to Martins Indi before and it wouldn't surprise me if he kept an eye on him during the session. He's left-footed and would be the ideal replacement for Distin IMO!
Lens though would be a top signing. Bobby wants attacking mids, wide players this summer and he'd be ideal. Got pace, skill and a goal in him and at the right price would be a good signing!

If Ruud van Nistelrooy can't point us in the right direction with regards a striker, we might as well give up.

1. Is Roberto plucking up the Dutch Courage?
2. Did Roberto go Dutch with the round?
3. You should never be Ruud in company

I always thought you were in Atlanta.
Any chance of sending some Cow pie over.
You cant get any meat pies here in Florida.
I need something strong to catch up on this thread.
Maybe some Dutch courage or Maybe Georgia would like a Dutch (night) cap.

We've had three in the last few years - one was a raging alcoholic who fell out with the manager, one was a drug abuser with a passion for women of the night who fell out with the manager and the other was overpaid and sat on our bench constantly moaning about how he wanted to leave, before being released by Fulham after getting relegated with them!

Still, the Dutch do have some good players and the question is: Can they step up to the higher quality of the Prem?
I am sure RM will be doing extensive homework before any signings from any country and it's likely nothing will be put in writing until certain teams are eliminated from the World Cup.

I'd still take that former Chelsea winger back from Bayern if we could get him. He'd be Robben us blind with his salary though.

Trust Bobby to be there first though. Come Bobby on get Blind, De Vrij etc.
